Danziger Gallery has organized a sale of photographs donated—by their gallery, their photographers, and AIPAD gallery members including Catherine Couturier Gallery—to benefit people in the Los Angeles arts community who have lost their homes and are in need of some financial relief.
In co-operation with the members of AIPAD, the Getty Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art they have asked for vetted names of people most in need. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the recipients. Danziger Gallery will be completely transparent in these transactions.
The response to the first 12 photographs Danziger Gallery posted was overwhelmingly positive (9 of 12 sold in the first day) and they have already begun to give $1,000 and $2,000 donations to vetted people who have lost their homes and their art.
